Does anyone know of rides to the US for the 110 anniversary.

    Hello everyone,

I am just curious if anyone knows of a run going to US for Harley's 110th anniversary. I have heard of them being done in the past, even seen patches made up for some run from Australia to Milwaulkee. I would like to think that it would be very much in the planning process as it is really not that far away and yet I still haven't found anyone in Australia doing it, I notice that NZ is puting quotes together for shipping across to US. I may be a bit crazy, but I think it would be one hell of a ride.

That is not a bad site, I was wondering if there was a trip from Oz, and ride a bit across part of Australia, then all catch a ferry or something like that. I have not heard of such a trip being done for a while, or if that is how the last trip done from Australia to Milwaulkee. it would be a long ride, as it is all the way there, then back. I wonder how long the longest organised ride is in Australia.

He might've been talking about the ferry to Tassie.  I mean, it is another country isn't it?

The I.O.M. sounds excellent. Being wanting to do that one for many years! I did see a thing in Heavy Duty awhile back about an IOM trip, I think it was a 100th anniversary bash. Keeeeeeen as to go over there!!!

I did the 105 and rode around the states for 6 weeks. It is well worth the trip and me and a mate are looking at doing a sturgis and Milwalk ride in 2013. I found when I did it that it was easier to sort the trip myself rather than go on a package thing that way you can just hire the bikes and go where you want to.
