Hey team, can anyone who has leather fitted onto their tanks, please have a look & see just how it it fitted, would like to know just how it's affixed from the factory.

Trying to make some flash leather bits for the nightster just to be differant.

nahh wasn't thinking of the fitting the wide bit down the middle, yes then I would be a sheep, I'm just curious how it's affixed, have some ideas but want to make it look right.

So the equivalent to a tank protector on a sports bike is a leather/rubber bra thingy on a Harley? Anyone got any other options that wont brand me an outcast? I wouldn't mind a "clear" tank protector that doesn't fuck with the look of the bike, but still gets the job done when I'm pushing it down the driveway at 4am trying hard not to wake my house.

yeah am  looking at the leading edge tank protector for stone chips, have some ideas & leather, but I could be fooling myself.

Have seen for other models but none for the sportsters

Ermm, didn't someone just post a clear one for the front of the tank - made by some guy in Queensland (I think) but sold in the USA....
