Front indicator relocation kit

Bought one of these as I don't like the look of the indicators hanging off of the bars. Got it in last night so go out to the garage and open it to read the instructions - bloody hell!!! It starts with removal of the tank and goes on with about 40 odd steps!

I started to work on it but cannot disable my alarm - I don't have any code for it and any attempt to disconnect the battery or pull the main fuse sets it off.

    Anyway, 2 questions:

    1. Anyone know a shortcut for installing the relocation kit?

    2. How the f*** do I disable my alarm?

turn ignition on and remove the main 40A fuse.....

I installed a relocation kit, but without removing the tank.... bit of a bitch getting to the connectors under the tank but...

Think I worked it out, turn ignition on & pull the maxi-fuse & the alarm won't go off.

As for the install I read Kingchops' post (must be blind as didn't notice it before I posted) and will see if I can also get the wiring cover off without removing the tank, kudos for posting that info Kingchops

the real pain is removing the plastic cover in the neck of the frame and then replacing it... I think it would still be a bitch without the tank.

I usually have a near full tank when i want to work on the bike so generally do it with tank on... did fit a quick release connector on the crossover pipe with not much room to fit and started leaking so gave up on that idea. Pain having to drain tank.
