Has anyone purchased a Windvest screen for their Softtail Std. I find that I get buffeted by the wind when I go riding but want to ride up to 400k at a time. At the moment it would be difficult. Would the screen benefit me. I am 6' tall but with the Airhawk seat about 6'1". Any suggestions would be appreciated. This is my first post so don't be to hard on me.
Thanks Steamer.
I did get measured at Frazers HD and it seemed about 18" would be OK. I just heard that Windvest were much better but unfortunately they are more expensive $625 to $480. They seem to work on a different principle as they are smaller in size(16" compared to HD 18".

If you don't mind going non-genuine, I found the National Cycle Deflector Screen DX works well for me and it should fit the Softail according to their website.
I'm a fly shit off 6ft 2inch and have found it works well for me. You can adjust the screen to tilt forwards & backwards as well as raise and lower it in order to deflect the wind around you.
It might take a little bit of fiddling but I have managed to get mine so that the wind just grazes the tops of my shoulders and gives the slightest bit of helmut wobble as it bounces over the top of my head. Once I start riding I don't even notice it. The best thing is it is fully removable in under 30 seconds.

Hesh,
Where did you buy it from and what was the cost.
.
I bought it from MCAS back in August and it was $189.95 mate. A lot cheaper than genuine HD plus fully adjustable.
