Hi guys,

I am getting my rocker covers powder coated, and need to remove them. I have an 04 883xl. I have tanks off, just need to know if I just unbolt the covers and remove, or is there more to it?

got new gaskets? fit them and torque it up correctly and thats about it dude..
 

Thanks mate, just realised I never replied. Job done, getting myself into all sorts of new and frustrating adventures with this bike and the $100 tool kit I bought!

Add another 0 to that tool kit and do it right. Save you a bucket load of $$$s in frustration, new nuts/bolts/allen heads, plus a quicker job over all. Good tools are one of those things you dont realise can make such a big difference to your work until you get them.
