our's was taken right on dawn, no bugger around & all the cars still in the driveways.
A lot of callers on ABC radio the other night weren't too happy about it. Not sure how useful this really is outside of the real estate and tourism industries.

two different things Pete, google earth just uses the sat images, the new street view was taken by cameras on the roof of cars.

This is going too far, surely the government has to do something about mobs like google doing whatever they like. We will have chips implanted in our arse next so that we can be monitored going to the shitter. Big brother is not far away.

Not the point R.T. if they went about it the way you described it would take time and effort and you might spot suspicious behaviour when they are casing your home, but this just makes it way too easy. As mentioned above you can look at a house from any angle which means if someone knew you had a Harley they could then jump on google scan your home from any angle to figure out which is the best way of breaking in and then just go about there business. It makes it all too easy for criminals, I'm not a rocket scientist so if I can see ways of using this information what can others come up with ?? And if your wife was photographed half naked in a bedroom where do you think that photo would end up ??
