Hi Guys

I went for a ride today down the GO road, great weather and a great ride, but if you are thinking of going there in the next couple of weeks, watch out for the loose stones from the roadworks that they were doing today at Moggs Creek, for around 4 corners, Cumberland river about 300m, and a couple of klms before Wye river. it's not hot mix either just the bitumen with 20mm stones on top and rolled in.

Used to ride GOR heaps years ago, then they put lines down the middle and changed most of it to 60 and 80 and wrecked a sensational road......

Great story on how it was built after the war using returned soldiers..

Sort of like a remembrance drive..

hit one about 3 k east of loch ard.........poped outta the scrub at warp speed , headbutted front disc during youthenaisa program.

 

80 kph..just lucky it happened on the only dry patch of road that day..

warped disc and intermittent front brakes ,,

 

i,ve hit my share on dirt / adv bikes

 

but very happy did,nt chuck the flhrc down road..

 

Coming back from phillip island , came round a bend , Only to see one sat in my path , wonder if it was the same one , Lucky i was taking it easy
