Just out of interest I thought I would post some pics.... these are standard plugs and have been in the bike for around 25K...

Run 95, Stage 1 and 2:1 with TTS by Scotty... the front plug is on the left... I get around 19-21 L/Km

I'm not mechanical so cannot comment, but I've not seen people comment on plug condition so thought I'd post up as I'm over the TTS thread

these two are of the front plug only

Fark Ho..... I'd be happy with those plugs.....I reckon they would be nearly spot on..the front perfect, the rear just a tad richer as it should be. This is the normal colour for unleaded fuel deposits. Leaded fuel produced different colours - black-rich. grey-good, yellow-lean, white and bubbly-oh shit, no electrode-fuck, holey piston/burnt valves $$$$$$$$$$$

Its always hard to judge 'condition by plug colour' because the AFR (Air Fuel Ratio) changes through out the rev range and once you hit idle.....the mixture runs a little rich and therefore black deposit on plugs. To accurately gauge the plug colour .....you would have to run the bike at the RPM that you are testing it at (like on the open road or dyno) and then shut it down and coast to a stop - remove plugs and check colour!

OR if you have EFI - fit a Thundermax + Autotune where you can monitor and adjust the AFR (displayed on heaps of charts for a given RPM) for any given RPM. For a carby(s) version (not much of a comprimise for adjustments) you will have to perform the 'run at RPM, shut-down and check plugs' method!

I would put some fresh plugs in the bike and cruise at 100 KPH for a couple K's then shut the motor down at the same time you pull the clutch. Pick a spot where you can coast and park the bike. Once the engine has cooled down to avoid stripping the thread in the heads take the plugs out and take a photo of them on some white paper then post up the photo's. That will give us a better idea how the motors is running.
