I just inherited a 2010 Nightster from my son who was the 29th Australian soldier killed in ghan. It is with mixed emotions I join this forum to honour his life and legacy. We rode together......................... too few times but now he is along for every ride. I know he wants me to enjoy my life and make the most of it. More later.

    Hey Outrider,

I am truly saddened to hear about the loss of your son.

Being an ex-soldier, I know your son would have died doing the one thing he loved "being a soldier". Every soldier passing is nothing short of a tragedy...

I know nothing can ever replace the loss of your son in such tragic circumstances.  However, he will be immortalised and his death will never be forgotten by Australian citizens, to pay the ultimate sacrifice places your son in the elite of Australia's best.

Mate enjoy riding his bike by doing this you will pay tribute to his spirit and his sacrifice for this country, ride it holding your head high always.  may his spirit ride with you...ALWAYS..

    Stay strong..

Sorry for you loss. It's amazing that with such few words you can say a great deal.  You are a father that would make any son proud.

Sorry to read of your loss, outrider. Keeping your boy's bike and riding in his memory is a very decent and honorable thing you do. Our Diggers do it tough over there and we acknowledge and respect their sacrifice.

Welcome to you Sir and thanks for posting; ride safe.
