Got a 1993 883 Sporty with slash cut pipes, decided to take the baffles out so it would sound like a Harley. But then it started coughing and spitting especially when cold. Then I read without baffles you have the chance of burning valves. So I decided to have the baffles opened up and put back in.
Still farting and spitting, anyone got any suggestions. Or is this how its ment to be.......
It's most likely running lean because of the increased exhaust flow. You may need to tune your carb. Also check that your plugs are not fouled.
Thanks for that.
I seen these cones on ebay, was going to give them a go, fit up near the header.
STAINLESS STEEL TORQUE CONES
Straight pipes sound sweet, but for street use they're a performance disaster!
Here's an inexpensive way to get back some of that lost horsepower and gas mileage without affecting the sound.
Simply fit inside header pipes.BRAND NEW
how do they work? are they any good? how does a restricter help?
