GPS/GSM Tracking, all up for under 90 bucks a year.
Small, Basic, no bells and whistles, but delivers the goods if all you want is to know where it is.
I wacked a $60.00 Telstra Pre-paid Long life (12 months) Sim card into one of these units, gave it a call, and it texted me the coords of where it was.
It'll also text you a Google Maps URL if ya want it to.

Think I'll source a 12V to 5 Volt car charger and hard wire the little sucker in permanent.
Good idea,but... Not real practical for me, know where I am, just never to sure where I'm going (even with a GPS) (& wifey)
Right on Bluey, These gadgets have been around for long enough now for the price to have dropped across the board as usually does after the initial flood of the potential market.
There's plenty of sizes and options to choose from.
Even the little one I linked to in the OP is listed on Ebay, and it's even advertised as being sold by an Australian company,,, BUT, you'll notice that the price from that particular site is over double that of the wholesaler.
And just to make it more interesting, the Aussie crowd actually source from the above wholesaler who provide said Aussie with their "Dropshipping" service and send the item direct to the end user.
The Aussie company doesn't keep them in stock, they just take the money and pass on the order to the wholesaler who ships the item to the end user, classic example of a middle man inflating the price by 110% for doing SFA apart from sending an email.
Even the ones that are costing $100 to $150 are still probably pretty good value for what they can do, but I just thought to pass this one on cause of it's mini size and basic functionability for a really good cost.
Tracker @ $25.00 and a Sim card for $60.00 was the best value that I could find, it impressed me so thought to pass it on.
