So you think you're a biker?

Also had it sent to me a while back so have looked at it many times and still see things that I didn't before.

After getting much enjoyment out of looking at the bikes and situations, I started looking at the expressions on the faces of the riders.

Man, those expressions say it all !

My Grandfather had a bike when he was courting my grandmother, and her father (my great grandfather who I never met) told him he needed a sidecar before he could take her out on the bike! Which he did!
I actually asked my uncle a week or two ago if he knew what sort of bike it was and whether there were any photos of it. He is packing up to move so is hoping to find some pics. he thinks it was a british bike. This would have been in about 1930-32 or so as my mum was born in 1935.
    Hope he finds something!

Liked looking at the old photos, made me wanna go for a ride.

But that is what it is all about, the enjoyment of riding, no matter what the conditions... isn't it?

Sick. I thought taking a CVO Fatbob with 2,000klms thru snow and on a beach in Tazzie was biking, but these blokes have taken it to another level, and decades ago! Old skool powR!

I love the old pics Macka; great post!

Funny how we look at these and think 'old school'; fact is, back then these bikes were current models - or near enough. The ring-a-ding 2 strokes most of us learnt on were many years in the future.

These old Hogs weren't so much the dirt bikes of choice, they were pretty much the only bikes available!
