Hi All, I have a 99 Fatboy which uses the taper wheel bearings.  I want to give them a grease as per the manual, can anyone advise if they can be put back with new seals without having to check the end float / preload with dial indicator?

 early wheels  can be done by  the feel ,    0.002" too  0.004"-5" .  e.g. a PUBIC hair  off a girl's whatdoyoucallit  downunder is about 0.002" too 0.0025"  thick  so you can go by the feel 1st  & then guess it from there  ,   good luck

Thanks for the info fellas, took them out, they looked and felt fine so greased and replaced with the existing shims, can't feel any play but may ride a llittle and try again.
