Hey,
Around 2 weeks ago I saw an 883 Iron and completely lost it. Before then I had absolutely no interest in bikes, apart from watching biker build-off, American Chopper, etc) and have always been a car guy (I have a black F6 Rspec).
Since then I've sat my license and am now waiting on a friend to do QRIDE. In the meantime I'm trying to decide whether I want the 883 or 1200. I plan on making many mods.
Looking forward to learning a lot.
(PS - was previously posting under the name Dark_Horse but de-registered that account)
I preferred Dark horse

Welcome back Narakasbull thats great you are taking up bike riding.Just remember you have to have eyes in the back of your head and you have to have a feel of the traffic around you and it helps to have a loud bike.
LOL - indeed, how dare I want to change my displayname.... @Etch: Cheers will keep that in mind. I've never had a crash in my cars in over 15 years and don't plan now. I've always been someone who scans traffic conditions and drives accordingly. I know a bikes a whole different world though ;P
I've been looking at exhausts (octane) from sikpipes - www.sikpipes.com. They don't appear to be baffled in which case they should be LOUD Does anyone know anything about how well these run? Assume I will need a retune...
I've just downloaded the 2010 HD sportster service manual as I thought that would be a good place to start familiarising myself with "stuff".
Cheers.
