Good idea for a thread...my first bike was a Yamaha TTR250

I bought it brand new, paid too much for it, didnt know any better and sure as shit couldnt ride it - I had just passed my L's test and bought the bike straight after the day at the RTA.
Lived across the road from the dealer, they all watched me take delivery of it, ride it across the road and promptly dropped it in my driveway.

Bike was stolen from a shopping centre carpark a month later.

    Replaced with

Went the full term with that, dropped it once trying to answer a mobile phone call - commuted every day on it from Bexley to West Sydney....put a fair few klms on it and didnt ever service it... a true fighter, would have looked after it better knowing then what I know now.

Thought I'd grown a pair of nuts after 12 months on that bike, so I went and bought this

How i'm still alive, I'll never know.

Down sized as I started track days and wanted more cornering ability and a few other modern bits and pieces with a 2006 GSXR600

Had it for a few years and then sold it for something a little more beaten to hell...thought I'd try stunt riding for shits and giggles

Cant find any photos but it was a 1994 CBR900RR with the front fairings gone, the ignition and speedo removed and the petrol tank beaten in so I could sit on it...OH AND A 57T rear sprocket.

I learnt a shitload on that bike. Riding around on a less than capable bike while staying alive teaches you raw skills.

Well to be honest I wasn't 'into' road bikes back then - I was into motocross racing and these were just cheapo finds and good fun transport when the HQ Sedan was off the road.
