While we here in the US are winterizing our bikes, you must be riding around having a ball right now. And if you have a problem with the heat of your bike, specially when stuck in traffic, here is something you might want to look into.
We call this a "Crotch Cooler" and it is made of heavy Latigo Leather. It can't break, it can't fall off, and it works really great. You don't need extra tools to install it either. We ave sold thousands of them here in the US, and got nothing but compliments on it.
They are of 2 layers of leather, Latigo on the top and the suede side of chap leather on the underside, so nothing can scratch your bike. The plain ones are $70 plus ca. $30-35 shipping to Australia. You can also make the crotch cooler fancy with alligator embossed leather and studs, or hand tooled with basket weave or barb wire tooling. We can add studs, crystals or Rhinestones. But the main thing is, that they works great.
As I mentioned in the Introduction Section, our shopping cart might act up when it applies the shipping charge. In that case, please send me an email direct to info@TennesseeHolsterCompany.com and we can bypass the shopping cart.
Y'all ride safe!...and I put another log in the wood stove now...
Isabel
I'd never heard of these. An interesting concept, thanks.
If you like, check out our US http://www.hdforums.com/ and search there for Captain Itch. There you can read about what people say about our products and us. We take a lot of pride in what we do, and I'm proud to say that we have an excellent reputation for our quality and customer service.
And I'm happy to vouch for the Captains excellent work as a previous customer. Friendly service and fast shipping as well.
Geez, wish you could come up with something to fix my heat problem.
I ride a FLHTCU trike. I also ride with a stiff right leg and this brings the back of the knee, and thigh of that leg close to the exhaust pipes. The factory deflectors that sit just under the front of the seat are not quite wide enough to shield me from the heat.
While riding in the states for three months recently, the back of my leg burnt several times from the heat coming from the bike
Could you come up with something for the Ultra Classic that might help me????
V2Evo96...thank you for posting this. You were one of the guys that told us about this. Thanks a lot. Hopefully we'll get a foot in the door, and once the word is out and riders get help with their heat problems with our crotch cooler, the word of mouth will be on our side. Thanks again. You guys must be riding your butts off right now, while we are winterizing our bikes...
Annie, yes we can help. We've put lots of our heat shields on trikes. Here are some pics. And I can promise that it will make the difference.
Please feel free to check out this link: http://www.hdforums.com/forum/touring-models/558514-finally-heat-shields-that-work.html
If you are intersted, I would be willing to send you a crotch cooler up front for you to try. If you're happy with it, I can invoice you later via Paypal, and if you don't like it, just send it back and I'll reimburse you for your shipping expenses. How does that sound to you?
PS: Since you ride the Ultra trike...take a look at the second picture. It also shows our drink holder on the lower fairings glove box.
Captain Itch,
You are not allowed to advertise in any section on the forum aside from the For Sale and Service Directory section. Post moved.
Thanks, KC
Sorry about that. It's not gonna happen again.
And a piccie of it onya Trike, Annie.
Isabel..... they arrived safely [thanks]
Okay, installed on the trike (pics to come) will give it about 3weeks so that I ride in some hot weather -- then will give my opinion. They look better than the plastic deflectors.
I'm glad to got em. Did you have difficulties installing them, or was it fairly easy?
My husband had a bit of a struggle as they were new, but you warned us of that, but finally got the seat on " src="/DesktopModules/NTForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif" />
Lookin' good.
