Ride west/north of Melb on Sunday 4th Dec

    Hi all, now that the weather is getting better, thought I might see if anyine is interested in a ride on Sunday 4th Dec (a week before the Toy Run).

    Proposed route: Meet at Bacchus Marsh at 10.30 and head through Myrniong, Greendale and Blackwood to Trentham (keeping of Freeway except for about 2 kms out of BM). Some really nice roads through the Vic bush with some nice sweepers. Coffee at Trentham, then maybe up through Kyneton to Redesdale pub for lunch (great pub, always bikes there), or to Daylesford - open to suggestions.

    From Redesdale we can either head back to Kyneton and then the back way to Woodend, or just follow the highway back to Gisborne to finish off for coffee or pub.

    Not a huge amount of kms (probably less than 200?) and any 48's there are enough servos to keep you moving!

    A bit of a social day, so maybe a few pillions? I'll probably have my 15yo son or the boss with me.

    So far weather for Sunday is sunny and 22. Fingers crossed!
    For those coming, take the first Bacchus marsh exit (bottom of the hill at the end of the new bit of freeway), follow the Avenue of Honour into the main street. There is a Fergusson Plarre half way along the main drag on the left. I'll be there early (Iron).

    Will see what I am up to this weekend. If I make it I make it.. if not, have a great ride. I loved it through there.

    I was thinking of heading down for the Eureka run that day but as it's a HOG club ride this year maybe not.

    Hmm, maybe i can ride down to Redesdale and meet up, forecast up here is 25 for Sunday at this stage so might be a couple degrees warmer than melbourne

    Bacchus Marsh is only 30 mins from the city - you wont need a REALLY early start. The Deer Park bypass and new highway that cuts out the old Anthonys Cutting is fantastic! I can get to a mates in Berwick in under the hour, with no traffic lights!

    Cnr Princes Hwy & foster st, Dandenong at 9.00

    Leaving at 9.30, spirited riding should see us at the marsh in an hour.

    Give or take 5 min
