Gday, way too many options out there and most the retailers/dealers dont stock a full range.  I know Draggin have been around since I worked in bike shop 13 years ago, and Hornee are up there too.  Looks like I might have to buy online which sucks without trying them on.  Anyway, does anyone have some feedback good/bad points on any of these?  The NEDS jeans aren't kevlar but claim to be just as strong, etc... how is that so???

I ended up going with the draggins, mine are these   www.dragginjeans.net/product/slix%20for%20men , size is a little small, i normally take a 30, but in the draggins they are tight but they still fit as the strech, a tight fit is better if you come off as they wont twist and roll up. My reason for going with them is they have been tested here, there are plenty of vids to see how they tested also, and really for a few dollars more i found it a no brainer as i like my skin where it is. There is a place here in melb called AMX in tullamarine that has them at good prices.   http://www.amxoutlets.com/

Peter stevens also sell them, so maybe go instore and try them on to work out your size then order them online?

Flea, I've had Hornee jeans for years, bought them when I got my first bike and they've been great. Look at what style has the most kevlar protection and buy em!! There are a heap of different brands out there but I would stick to the well known brands, Draggin, Hornee and that is about it!! IMO!!

Most of the Kevlar jeans are pretty good, some have a better fit than others. Really a matter of choice in style and fit. Had Draggin Jeans but found that Hornee fit me better.

My missus said that (whilst repairing my Draggins for the 3rd time!) these are made out of one of the cheapest materials around. They came apart at the joins on the outside leg. She said they use the  thinnest  thread available and the material is comparable to what hankies are made of. I'm on about the black ones I have. My denim draggins are still holding up, but not worn as often as the black ones. Back to the stove pipe Levis I think.     Edit: purchased from a HD dealer.

Hi Fleabags. I have just been thru the same exercise, and trying to justify price, quality etc. I have an old pair of Draggins that have suited me well and have never been tested. They are the black ones and really quite heavy and hot. I looked at the few brands we have in Perth and it seems you get what you pay for. One brand at $99.00 was NO kevlar and just a bit of additional denim stitched in. I was not game to buy on the net because of sizing issues. I ended up with another pair of Draggin, tried them on and away you go.

I have recently bought 2 pairs of Draggin cargos, the camo are heavier fabric than the black by a long way. I also got a pair of Drako denim jeans. Drako is Draggin rebranded try the American market again, they failed under the Draggin brand so have a new name. The Missus has Hornee as she thought they were more stylish. I tend to agree that Hornee have better more trendy looking pants but I think Draggin are better quality.

Hornee also tend to be lower rise in the waist following fashion, draggin a regular belly button height which might not be so cool better much better in an off!

We got all ours at cost price from a closing down sale so price wasn't a consideration.

G'day, I have three pair of Draggins, 1silverbacks 1new generation 1oil skins, all bought over net from Draggin site at different times, oils last purchase. The silverbacks and new gen, size 32 fit good, but the oil skins I first got size 32, they would not do up, the waist band was 2-3" short of meeting to do up button. Rang them and they said that the sizing was right, told them that I'm size 32, all my other jeans are size 32, they said jeans stretch over time then I told them that the waist band on the oils measured only 29 1/2" from button hole to button, sent back, got another pair, same thing I had to get size 34 and the waist is tight but the ass and legs were baggy as shit (wifey took 2 1/2 " off the inside legs) , fit good now, they fucked up in there sizing with them. So defently try on before buy. Happy now with them all.

I have CC Leather ( http://www.cc-leather-rider.com.au/) jeans. Full kevlar lining. Being a short arse I need the legs shortened but a local seamstress did the cut and trim for $12. Sizes are generous so if you dont like belts or like the crack of your arse to be filled with kevlar and denim, go down a size compared to your normal jeans. I havent tested them yet ( and dont want to) , but have done a few thousand kms and they are comfortable and are wearing well. Good part is that being fully lined means no extra wide seams or scraggly bits of kevlar making pressure points to irritate you when riding. price is very good too.
