G'day all.Licence plate surrounds.Pretty trivial I know,but don't know where else to go.
On my recent purchase is the traditional cheap and nasty licence plate surround (Chromed plastic) which is now starting to look a bit daggy.Say what you will, but I reckon a thin, chromed licence plate surround gives the scooter a bit of character,so off to the dealer I go to buy one.It probably goes without say that every licence plate surround in the HD spare parts book will not fit South Australian plates, nor could the dealer offer much advice as to where to start looking for some that do.
Does anyone know where I would get a chrome surround to fit S.A. (alpha-numeric) plates, without me having to drill the fukka,or use any sort of backing plate ? Apparently there was a metal fabricator here who used to make them with billet rego disc holders, but cant find the bloke ..........Maybe he went out of business when they canned the rego labels ???
Hey guys I can tell you AXIOM acessories at Edwardstown make brilliant surrounds ,custom engraving, chrome or powdercoated, backplates or not.call em 8277 6788
there was a thread recently where a rder had a surround on (one of the plastic ones from a bike shop) and the coppers fined him for it,, and it stood up... (hopefully someone can post the link for you)
Might be an idea to send ole Harv a PM, his post is 16 months old!
