If you are not aware the MRA SA Toy run is different this year, For a start leaving from Vic Racecourse and not going to the Handorf oval but Callington oval this year.  Due to numbers attending it is getting to big.  They have the map ect on their web page.

The fun part of the day will be seeing about 15000 bikes trying to get over a one lane bridge into Callington !!...And trying to get a beer at the pub

80 km/h to Callington , no speeding or passing , and our kids on the back can,t throw lollies to the kids on the footpath , sounds like the MRA have sold the Toy Run out !

Shit VMAX i forgot about that Bridge and Tim your rite it does sound like the mra have stuffed the day rite up for everyone.

That would be rite VMAX you try and do some thing good for the people who are struggling out there and along comes SAPOL to stuff it up for everyone.Yet if the clubs have a run there is no end to how many cops you see.I think of the millions of dollars they have spent harassing the clubs it makes the mind boggle.

I was going to be away this weekend but plans were changed at the last minute so will head to the toy run..Will have to go by car as 3 wont fit on the bike so maybe catch up with a few at the "Free" tent or around the place

My understanding is they changed it because it simply got to big for glenelg , and they wanted to change the route to make it easier . After going on it yesterday for the first time , i can see why , slow moving bikes with guys and girls, all around you, who start getting the wobbles, after the second time of telling peanuts to be careful , we pulled over and waited for the masses to pass , alls i could see was gonna happen was someone running into me or falling off there bike and causing damage to mine . Good day though

Regards police they were there , cos one made his way at the lights , up to me tapped me on the shoulder and said , your helmits illigal buddy , it needs a sticker on it when you get home , smiled and rode off .

Story is the MRA had to change as the Pleece have cut back their motorcycle fleet numbers and were "unable" to provide the public service of enough ppl on the ground for traffic control.

We rode there independently a bit early, parked outside the oval on the street, and left about 12.30. Had no trouble getting out across the one lane bridge and onto the Strath road. The corner marshal was stopping the run for anyone who wanted to do just that and we had 12 bikes in our group.
