Got one in flat black denim, V&H 2-1 big radious, still undecided in the twin headlights...am thinking of a duel rectangular set up
Was not sure about the fat front wheel till I rode it...absolutly no problems with it

Hey, copped a rock in the headlight two weeks ago, the fuckin thing shattered like a windscreen in the 70's with only the smallest mark where it hit. Got a new one from the U.S that works the way the Aussie one should. The only hassel was undoining the wiring mod that I had done previously to get both working on high and one on low. That high/low set up was the one thing that has pissed me off since I got it. $400 later I'm happy, now to work out the draggin boot thing, maybe I just need to slow down a little.

Yesterday went on my first ride on the Fatbob down to Manduraha and back. Thoughts are; how good is this bike, handles good, great pickup, comfy seat and riding position so I was pretty impressed.

Today, Freematle Ulysses branch ride to GinGin via Obriens Rd, Tooday and Bindoon, lunch, a look at the vintage cars then home via Chittering valley.  This bike handles magnificently in all areas, cruising, take off and stopping, cornering and general handling.

Only 1 minor thing to fix and that is the adjustment for the gear change lever, can't believe you pay nearly 30g's and you can't adjust many things, any if any one knows of a fix for this I would appreciate it.

Hey Bli Bli,did you replace the whole light or just the glass?Reason I ask is Ia'm changing mine to a single and want to know wether I have to lift the tank to get at the plug for the wireing ?Still not sure about the twin headlight so we'll see what one looks like off a superglide!cheers Brett

brett / Bli Bli, I was goingto ask the same thing about the lights, but I think BliBli got the WHOLE light assdembly chrome houseing and all.
I too want both lights on at once same as USA bikes, but I have just found I can order a US reflector assembly for $150, and not have to buy the whole headlight assembly.

What I would like to know is if the USA light has the beam of light directed to the wrong side of the road when they are on, similar to car lights that are focused on the left side of the road. In the USA they would be focused to the right and maybe not work right over here in Oz.

Het Fatboboz and Brett, got the whole light. I did this because the dealer told me that they could supply all the parts individually, it worked out about the same $$$ but they couldn't tell me if it was all gunna fit on an international model. You need the reflector, globes and harness, the plug on the bike end of the harness is the same except the wire that goes to the parking light in the Oz one isn't there but the end for the globes is totally different. As for the reflector it is abit hard to tell beccuase ithe glass is shattered but as soon as one of my mates show up on theirs I will check it out. I can tell you its a much better light and there is not parking light globe, who cares the lights are on all the time anyway.

Bli Bli,Mate youve misunderstood Me,What I am doing is scrapping the twin headlight look and going with one .ie Wide glide ect ect.I have picked up a headlight off a 07 superglide and am going to fit it to the bob,So when I am disconecting the OEM light do I need to lift the tank to get at the plug. Get Me? Any tricks to removing the tank? cheers

Brett, just follow the harness,it goes into the frame on the right hand side just behind the steering head and before the tank, if you pull the grommet out you will be able to wiggle the harnes out so that you can disconnect the plug.

    Bli Bli,
thanks mate. I figure I must be on the right path, but could you confirm if the globes are the normal sort of headlight globe with a 3 prong locator type globe that is kinda like most car headlights look like. I guess it is a std car halogen globe I'm talking about.
If it is, good stuff. I got hopld of a couple of connectors that will fitr from my local supercheap auto store.
Now just have to wait for the bike and the reflector.
