Hard rain, wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I need to reseal them, as moisture gathers on the inside of the lens when not in use. Maybe came in the mount? Or past the front seal? Thinking of a bit of silicon, anyone had a play with this?
BTW LEDs are GREAT...
Hello Steamer,
The are a lightening white Driving Light, sort of the next step above HID.. From memory they are about $850-900 for all three in LED about half for the Driving Lights and half that for the big main Hi/Low beam. The side view for hoppers is impressive if you cant them out about 5 degrees, maybe 30 metres more visibility on each side. I think they are worth the money, low power draw, huge light...
Cowboy, horses and Harleys...
I have had the some sort of issue with mine except I letting Harley Heaven sort it out as it's only on the the main light. It looks like someone has tried to finger print it. here are some pic of mine.
Mine is in the Shop, will be picked up today, added a little more bling chrome engine/ tranny bolt sets, upper bag LEDs, chrome inner primary, bits and pieces and re-seal of the LED Passing Lights.. The CVO Forum in America picked up that some of the LED Passing lights/ Driving Lights, were not sealed properly with just a sticker, when there is a rear access hole on the back that needs to be coated over with silicon or epoxy..
Will post what they found, but evidently the LED Driving lights are like a sealed bulb, only there is a hole on the back that needs to be sealed better. I thought it was a separate lens sort of affair, and it was just a reseal or rubber gasket or silicon seal on the front, but I guess it is a one piece LED set up.

LATEST ON MOISTURE ON LED's...
HD first says: "What are you doing? Driving through rivers?" yea right
Now it would be hard to verify, but here is the supposed report from HD: Gonna happen, and you are not supposed to seal them up at all. Just like the speedo, there is a breather hole. Evidently they NEED to breathe, warmth expanding with cold rain could creep in a little moisture and if they are sealed totally once it comes in you would never get it out. With the breather, the warmth drys them out.
I have to admit, I have not noticed the moisture fog on the inside of the lens for the last few weeks. But we have been in drought for about a month, the driest November in something like 40 years or something in Brizzy. My Passing Lights, Driving Lights are seemingly dried out. So, bear with it if you see the problem as it will go away...
Cheers, Cowboy, six horses, two Harleys, maybe I got the Order wrong???
Thanks for that, but that is not the problem... My local HD Shop says: "What are you doing, driving through rivers????"
The problem is riding in all weather, and the weather has been RAIN RAIN and more RAIN here in Queensland... My last ride of a few hundred kms was Sunday a week ago with the H.O.G. for example. We had showers all day for a 200 km ride, and then the 100 km ride home from the end of it was in a couple of solid cloudbursts where the road was almost blotted out....
A little sack of silica gel is not going to stop that flooding.... heh he
By the way, currently re-wired so Passing Lights are on with Low Beam LED as well. GREAT safety feature, day OR night, but really a killer at night with about 30 metres better visibility looking for furry hoppers...
