slammed a new aircleaner on today. wasnt to sure if the old bracket was needed it seemed to fit better with it off????

 okay so i just put the throttle body bracket back on and the backing plate for the air filter, you can see in the picture there is a gap between the throttle body and the backing plate around the same thickness as the throttle body bracket, so there is no way it should be going on!! thoughts?

 that allen key is basically sitting in the gap, i think the screw hole in the throttle body may be higher then then backing plate, if not there yeah ill chuck a bolt all the way though it, cheers

Or if your in doubt you could put 2 throttle body gaskets on to make up the difference in the gap.

 yeah its a pretty awesome looking filter, not a fan of the really small ones. 270 bucks all up from perth hd 158 for the cleaner kit and 113 for the cover ( cover is a rip off)
