We've been reading about the new Nortons for a couple of years now and still no indication when / if they are coming to Aus.

Any one have any news I might have missed?

Haven't heard anything about they're arrival, wouldn't mind owning one when they do finally get here! I watched a series on Turbo Max (Foxtel) recently called Cafe Racer, they did a test ride and segment on the new Norton and by all accounts they are reportedly a brilliant bike to ride!

Yeah I want one when they get here, depends if the house manager will release funds to me for it.
Haven't heard any news since motorcycle trader did a bit of a test on them over in Europe. Norton management said they will be releasing to new markets including Aus, but that was a while ago now.

if you are able to get hold of the July issue of Classic Bike, there is an article in the magazine about how people have paid deposits for the new Norton up to 2 & 1/2 years ago and still havn't received a bike nor will the company refund their money. Don't hold you breath on them coming to OZ.

They asked for a deposit, then after that the asked for the balance to be paid.

No way would I buy a bike on those terms, sounds like a scam to me. Maybe they will deliver but its a lot of money to just give a so called company who may never deliver the goods. After all its only a rehashed Norton, I like the old Nortons but they won't be getting my money.

A bit like buying a rehashed Harley but at least you can see the model on the floor and you get the bike when you hand over the cash :-)

I believe someone in WA is the importing agent and they do look good. In the low $30's from memory. Come in a couple of formats. If I can find the article I'll post it.

    Thanks for the clip Sonny.

Styling wise I like but the motor didn't have quite the growl I was hoping for; but maybe that's to do with the wind noise.

Great to see that classic name back on a tank & motor.

    Thanks gents,

Low $30k seems a bit rich - the frumpy trumpy's are only 13 or 14K.
At that price I may be waiting awhile or not at all or maybe a Dyna as a second bike.

Looks better than the 1959-600cc feather bed and 1963-650 SS I rode as a teenager. Wonder if it'll have the same oil leaks...lol.

Has he got a gammy leg or only ever worn sliders on one side? Looks like a tool sitting on it like that! Bike looks sweet though
