Yeah, SportyTrace, I can't understand why HD won't make good suspension. Heaven knows we pay enough for the bikes! The Japs have had great shocks for years now. I had to replace the shocks on my previous sporty and lowrider, not to get my feet on the ground, but to get a comfortable ride for me and my wife.

I thought the nightster's suspension was supposed to be better - obviously not!

    Lots of great suggestions here....
    Thanks I appreciate it :)
Thanks for all your warm welcomes...

RED I currently ride a one pot screamer a Yammie SR250.....
Its been a great learning bike..oh I can touch the ground too!! LMAO..
When I got my license I had no idea at all what I wanted. My only experience on a bike had been as a pillion only...Hang on....I tell fibs..I did have a shot years back on a mini bike and found that you cant ride through walls...they do stop you.....!! ..Mental note taken...the accelerator is not the brake!!!...I've been around bikes for years...So the ole SR has suited me fine...except when Ive had to sit behind trucks on the freeway as a wind break cause Ive just about been blown off my bike by the cross winds....got covered in sh*t too!!!!and riding down to Mandurah..Ole Gundalini does have trouble sittin over 90K's without vibrating the shit outta ya!!!..ahahahah ..Poor MOTH...his 1200 hardly gets out of 3rd gear when he is out riding with me!!!...I know exactly what I want and what my needs are this time around...so its been a matter of firstly finding a bike that is ground zero so to speak...I have decided that Ive got to give serious consideration to a Nightster and Sporty like Traces....and also check out Jillis 883 types.........

Was at a mates place today and had a turn on their 98 Heritage Softail..now thats a big beast aye....and no way would I buy that despite being able to touch the ground..too heavy for me...its been recommended that I buy from either the fella at Bunbury or Albany...anyone dealt with these fellas before????

G'day HFB, welcome to the forum.

Some members deal with SW Harley in Bunbury and are very happy with them. Noit, when he was still a WA boy, would ride from Armadale to Bunbury to have his Dyna serviced there.

I got my bike from Frasers in Perth and I find them very helpful, maybe it's just pure luck but I can't say anything bad about them.

Albany HD - no idea and I do not know anyone who dealt with hem.

I have had a lot of dealings with Frasers and never had a problem. Big Kev in the service department is a great bloke.
