Hi gaza, I've got the oppitunity to buy the SE clutch for a good price, so I was wandering how the lever pull & feel was with one of these things. - Rob

You get that one on trade me?

They are a good clutch but have some bad habits,

    1.  Its a hard pull. I have mine adjusted at the lightest level

    2. While running the clutch in it grabs. This is hard while at the lights plus it makes a horrible noise. It took me say 6 months for this to stop.

I'm about to fix the"hard to pull" by putting a PM hydraulic system in. I don't know if that will work as per the book (fits 07-later Twin Cam-equipped models. Does not fit models equipped with a hydraulic clutch) but a PM system is different then the HD

I have NEVER heard of these clutches shitting themselves. They are good once you get use to it. Hope this helps you

I have been staying away from the 12.1 pistons as I have a street bike. I could just add octane booster every time I fill up. I like the wood cams over the S&S

Thanks gaza. Yeah that's the one I'm looking @ but the issues you mention may have put me off. Have you looked @ the Mueler power clutch kit, which is a bit pricey or the White Bros ez pull clutch thingy, which is a bit cheaper. I have the Mueler kit & it makes the pull with the SE spring as easy as stock. - Rob

We talked about them when you brought some parts off me (SE rockers). It's hard but not that bad as to make it a hassle to ride. You get use to it after a while  It become second nature. I see from a google search you have been asking this question all over the place

I have not looked at the Mueler system. I just happen to be swapping out my controls and thought why not put in the hydraulic clutch. I will be selling off my chrome hand controls with ctutch and brake in Diamaondback. All you have to do is buy the throttle cables (diamaondback). You still got my email address??

Not after any other parts, the clutch is the only thing I may need. Just check my options if the energy one exta plate kit I have doesn't work. I seem to have lost your email- Rob

Up the level to "I'm stupid". I still not happy with how the bike's power feels. I had some spare money so ordered a the 120r upgrade race extreme kit with those Hurricane Heads, will up to the 12.1 pistons 62ml throttle body. Talking to Bob wood from Woods Cams I'm trying to find a cam the has the torque and the HP The RX 267's I have in are okay, but I need to keep the revs high so the powers on call. Those cam's don't like low revs. I'm also looking at my SERT, is it any good or do I just need to find a better guy to tune it right. The HD dealers don't push the tuning to the limited. I've found they just clean up the base map. Shit I sign a waiver if the motor blows while tuning it's not their fault, so push it and find out.

Love it. Do it It's a whole new ball game. When stopping I needed to take a big grab of the clutch lever as it was a hard clutch to pull in. It's still hard but nowhere as to what it was before. I have adjusted it up more as I had it on the lightest setting before. Those SE clutches are made to grab and not be ridden at street lights.

Well my 120r extreme upgrade just turned up. Motor's getting a up-grade. swapping out the HD 266 cams for woods TW9BG-7 going with gear drive. Picked up the new V&H Stainless 2 into one High Output. These pipes have triple step down. Getting rid og the SERT for a PC. I have at last found a bike tuner that knows what he's doing. Damn these heads are something you have to see to appreciate. This is the last upgrade I'll be doing to this motor

3 months. For the kit to get to me. Seems that Aus only got a few kits in. We are low on the list with getting HD parts too..I was just about to cancel the order and look at those S&S 124 specials Rollies had Mind you this did give me time to sort out some cash etc. Had to buy the wife a pressy. So I'm sending her to Thailand for a new set of tits. hehehe I think I'm the winner with that .

got a 124 kit through Rollies yesterday. It's on order. but that is for a dyna. They do not sell direct as they are the Aust distributor, they hooked me up with a local retailer.
They also offered the full 124 engine, way to much for me.

Still gotta bore the SE cases, but you already knew that?
    $9500, that's SE cases + S&S kit?
My complete turn key 120 with SE cases and S&S crank, R&R heads, HPI throttle body etc, etc
    Cost me around $12K mark.
My guess is you prolly coulda gone 120R cheaper in the end, but hey, then it wouldn't be 124.

No different hilly, just were already bored for 4.060 cylinders and had Torrington cam bearings installed.
I had mine bored to 4.125 by Randy at Hyperformance before they were shipped to me n Oz.
Even with SE cases, ya gotta work out what main bearing style you go with.
    Torrington or SE.

I have installed a TPX radar detector and a  TPX laser jammer. Been told the laser jammer illegal, Fuck it. Pity you guys in Aus. Here in NZ  If you get pinged by a speed buy a camera you pay a fine no points, The only way to loss points is to be caught by a cop. I sit on 100+ normal roads  with 160+ on the freeways. If I'm caught 40ks over the posted speed I loss the bike and my lic on the spot for 28 days. That's were the detector and jammer save me.
