I was looking at the gasket set I bought for my up & coming 98" build & noticed it had a base gasket instead of a seal.
I have done a 95" build before & that had the base seal in it & had zero issues, so my question is which works better or they as good as one another.

If your motor has Orings use them because base gaskets will raise the cylinders and your pistons will be lower down in the cylinder holes. Because the pistons will be lower in the cylinders this will give you a larger squish zone that may cause detonation issues with shit fuel . I have a couple spare cometic Orings if you need them send me a pm and there yours.
PS what brand of gasket kit did you buy.
