Can anyone give me some advice on bombing up an evo. I've got the 42mm mikuni, V&H big shots, crane single fire ignition and a hypercharger already on it but I'm chasing a bit more grunt. I've also been looking at a Ultima El Bruto 113 cube motor to replace the evo. Any advice, good or bad would be great.

    Cheers Jinx.

Thanks for all the info so far fellas. I was looking at the S&S motors as well but they were a fair bit dearer. I haven't heard or read anything bad about the S&S though, so I  spose it all comes back to you " get what you pay for " Looks like there are plenty of other options out there as well to do the motor up so I'll keep checking things out.

Jinx what are you lookingfor in terms of the build? For an EVO I would consider cams/carb/exhaust/ and a little headwork as in small compression bump to suit the cams and maybe a bit of cleaning up. You can put together a really sweet 80 c.i. motor for not a heap of $$$$ and have plenty of power-- and longevity out of the motor as well. You can have 85-90 ft/lbs torque and 80-85hp with a bit of planning and the right kit. go to nightrider and look at the evo builds on that site.
http://www.nightrider.com/biketech/hdbuildstage3.htm if the link doesn't work copy paste into your browser.

Look at the goal you want to achieve then work it backwards.
PS-- bin the hypercharger as well....

Thanks again for all the info, sounds like doing up the motor is the go and not replacing it.

Up the compression, work the heads and match the cam, your head guy will specify a cam, supertrapp exhaust, rejet the carb and hold on, ps bin the hypercharger, and if you ride with the throttle full on all the time buy a Hyabusa
