Its on again....imbil bike rally 18th -20th nov....good chance i'll be going.  Not much happens until 3:00pm Satdy when the gymkana fires up, after that its full party mode, onsite vans and cabins available if ya get in quick enough. More info on these links.

I hope to be there again, I have been going for 12 years now, the only problem is if you want to book a van or cabin they are booked out years in advance for this rally so it's back to camping which btw is the only time I do this for this rally otherwise when I do an overnighter it's motels all the way for me cheers.

Yes i have been told onsite accomodation is booked out 12 months in advance but if ya lucky enough to score a room at the local pub or motel they do run a bus from the site to town on a regular basis, alot of ppl use it to get to the pub for a decent meal. If anyone wants more info on the bus (taxi) let me know and i'll post his phone #, think it used to be $20 for a return trip, i live local so i usually nominate the mrs as the sober driver LOL.

Oh.....there is another camping area right in town who now have onsite cabins as well, island reach camping resort.

Went to Imbil rally for a day trip, well there were more Harleys there than at a HOG rally lol I have being going to Imbil for over 13 years now when I fist went it was spot the Harley now it's spot the Jap bikes, how times have changed cheers.

BTW as I said I was only there for the day had a great time but bloody hell it was hot day.
