2011 FXDC bottoming out

Only have 2100km on it so far - did the air cleaner, master tune (disabled the silly flaps in air cleaner and pipes), different handlebars and put some saddle bags on. Urgently need pipes (running too hot - going with Supermeg 2-1 - opinions??) but most urgent issue is that of bottoming out. Put preload at level 3 (max) and while I'm not a lightweight I'm surprised how easy it bottoms out.

Anyone with similar experiences?? Even better - what is the fix?? I'm thinking progressive 412's or 440 with HD springs but am p'ed off that the stock product doesn't work properly. Never had that issue with my '96 FXD or '03 Ultra...

    thnx

certainly not too much preload - just sitting on the bike uses up quite a bit of the available travel. Stoppen by shop today - they admitted it is a common complaint for dyna's - after market shocks fix the issue.

will have a look at the ikons

    thnx

highest preload - 3 of 3. Almost feels the bike is squatting - maybe it will improve with miles....
