    I am after some advice from those who have fitted risers to their bike;

    I am currently looking at fitting the Harley Curved Riser to my 2010 Fatboy. I want to use the standard handlebars

    There are 2 different sizes, (4" P/N 56269-09), or (6" P/N 56267-09)

    If anyone has fitted these can you help me out, please, what want to know is how much different do these risers make compared to the standard position.

    Can you give me the difference in height and distance back towards the rider for each riser (if you have measued it)

     Also will I have to fit extended cables, brake hose and wiring to either of these risers?

    Cheers

    Hiya pedrod...this wont answer your question but IMO higher is better, much more comfy on long rides, youve seen and felt my handle bars and they would be at least 6 inch and i think 4 inch would only just clear the speedo.... with mine i get a small amount of shoulder ache on long rides but nothing to whine about, i myself would not go any lower.

    Well .... i havent actually lifted my bike with it yet      but i did lift the son's g/f's cbr250 with it, no drama's .....i used to get a lend of bro inlaws lift if i needed it, his is smaller and alot lighter but no drama's what so ever .... you'll be right mate, dont be scared, its made for the job and will do it well, just hold the handle bar for confidence and leave the side stand down, or remember to put it back down before lowering, good luck with the riser question...cheers.
