I'm about to pick up a FXDC with mid mount pegs.  Do highway pegs works ok, or should I go straight to forward controls. I thought being able to move around with both might be the go. any comments good or bad are welcome....beagle

Beagle, Ive got highway pegs on mine and i like em mate.

I find that i spend a lot of time on the highway pegs, but do switch around a lot. For me I like having both options especially when you feel like throwing it around

Highway pegs would be the cheap option to start with and if you find that spend more time with your feet out front then you can fork out the extra for forwards.

Personally I find mids really uncomfortable so it's forwards only for me.

Just took my fxdc to Darwin and back. Fitted highways just before I left and was very happy with them. Change of position was very welcome on some of those long stretches but nealy came undone when I had to brake hard for 3 Emus on the road as I had my feet on the highways and the extra time to hit the back break nearly did me in, I was into them before I had got my foot to the brake. Still use them and love them but something to think about.

I've got mid mounts & highway pegs Beags & love 'em.
Being able to shift leg position is great.
