Are the leather bags on a Road King bigger than the Fibreglass items on the Electra Glide etc?

I'm interested in fitting the saddlebag guard rails off the Electra Glide onto my RK for a bit of extra chrome.

Has anyone already done this?

Have had both models of harleys. Electraglide paniers are bigger than road king bags

A while back I had a standard Road King with the spoked Mag wheels and Fibreglass Pannier boxes with the chrome pannier protection guard bar.   For more of an old school look, I bought the HD Road King Classic leather Bags and put them on, sort of Road King Classic without the wire wheels...  The FG Panniers are bigger.. 

The look of the Pannier protection bar was good, even with the leather bags.   It did not work for me, as I needed to carry a laptop that was a squeeze and all the rain was a problem for the leather bags in the past couple of years, but it did look good.  Good fun, sold them later for not much of a loss, and put the FG boxes back on with fake leather tops on the boxes, and that look did not work out as they never quit fit right in the changing temperatures and did not lay flat, but it did protect the paint...  Probably have pictures, but you can see the difference at any HD shop, RK Classic with the leather, Standard RK with the FG panniers... I agree the protection bars look good, front and rear...  Sort of a old FLH look
