Will be following this thread closely as I am wanting to change my shocks to air soon. Was leaning towards Shotguns, but nobody seems happy with what they got!!!!

Been reading as much as i can about the Shotgun's on US sites & am yet to find anyone that has been disapointed with them. Could it be that our out of city roads are more harsh or what?
Would like to hear from anyone on this forum that has them fitted & what there opinion is of them?
Robo61, i think i read in one of your previous posts that the shocks you brought were used, could it be that they are somehow defective?

I have the shotgun shock on my bike now for atleast 2 years. It takes a bit of time to find the right setting.
Read the posts by Dr. Vtwin on HDforums.com. If still puzzled contact JD. I have always got a quick
    response from him.

Hey Satan I read sometime ago that Shotgun shock might be developing some sort of memory switch.
This would be more feasible as there would have to be an air line running out of the shock body
to mount a gauge and that will cause problems. (were to mount it safely & air leaks)
The memory switch/button could be alongside the 2 adjusting switches.
This also could become an add on upgrade.
I originally had the first (smaller) compressor and the body had studs instead of bolts for tranny access.
I sent the whole package to Shotgun for the upgrades and JD didn't want any payment or shipping.

If anyone is considering this product contact JD personally. He will respond.

They'll have to come up with something else with the ABS that's being introduced into
later model bikes as that is the only place suitable for the compressor.
I know if I flick mine it changes quite a bit.
When raising on the fly you do need help from a few small woopdy doos. :)
