hi all ive just fitted a mikuni carb to my 1340 evo its tuned it and running great  but ther is a vent tube near wher the petrol line go in thats ment to be left open  should this have any kind of air fillter on it etc?  wow have you guys got yah vent tube sett up?.

As you say it's just a vent tube, leave it open.

ok thanks thought it might have been sucking in some dust etc.

 

You could fit a filter, but as it's meant to be at atmospheric pressure, you may screw up the fuel metering.
