Hey guys, thought i'd show some pictures of my new air cleaner S&S style Air cleaner that i got from Walka (Ian) @ VPW.
This type of air cleaner is mainly used for carby models, but there is a kit that you can get from Walka that will help with fitting it to the EFI models.
This kit comes with a small little filter that is used for the rocker cover breathers and there is alot a sortment of fitting/bolts/nuts and washer.
I decided that i wanted the breather to run back into the air cleaner so what i did was use a mixture of the stock parts and the new ones, i drilled a hold in the back plate of the air cleaner to line up with the front breather, i made an allot spacer 15mm long so that the fitting would fit into the back plate and seals off with a large rubber o'ring.
The rear breather i used the fitting that came in the kit, there was already two 1/8th gas thread holes in the back plate to take either a straight or right angle that came in the kit, i chose to run the barb from the right angle as it was to take 1/2" hose (too large in the case) and i drilled and tapped a new 1/8th thread in it so that i could screw in the 3/8 barb. I fitted everything up with loctite and seems to be all good. The kit also came with a new throttle body/carby brace but i used the stock one instead.
