Any one going to the motorbike show this year Nov. 25 to 27?

Darling Harbour wtf ???
Shit (and costly) parking, pain in the arse to get to, what are they thinking? Olympic Park was a much better venue. Obviously this is more focused at getting tourists through the doors than bikers. Smart move
What a shit venue, Olympic park is much better. Yes parking is way too expensive.
I will be giving this show a miss this time.
Isnt Clover Moore more bicycle focused than motorbike? Driving round the city, it certainly comes across that way.
Sad thing is that the choice of location will probably reduce the biker attendance by one third while increasing the number tourists who just want to look at the 'shiny bikes'. Doubt the V8 setup would have had any bearing on the decision, this is just down to the highest bidder in my eyes with little else in the decision martix.
yup... same info I received
Thankyou for your enquiry,
Below are the two options for motorcycle parking.
Motorcycle Parking Options:
Both Car Parks are accessible from Darling Drive.
could always park underneath where the show is....
then ride around the gates on your ways out...
Was planning on going only need to book accommodation and flights but!!! Before I made the commitment to go I wanted to know if any CVO's would be on display as I have one on the way and would have liked to see the model range. So I rang the number in the exhibitors list 02 9886 0615 and spoke to the organiser of the HD stand and was spoken to rudely. I asked if any CVO's will be on display and was told you will have to come and see for your self. I then asked if they knew what bikes would be on display and was told they have a list of models that will be on display. Finally I asked if they could tell me if any CVO's will be on display as I would only make the trip to see the CVO range if they were going to be on display, I was then told its all kept quiet until opening of the show until then they will be revealed. Wow how hard is it to just say CVO's will or will not be on display, so I put it that no CVO's will be there. Whats the story with all this secretive attitude, gee there is enough info on the web to know what colours models etc and to ask a simple question and get told we are not going to tell you, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Anybody have an idea if CVO's are going to be there? Cheers WILD

Thanks for the reply HUNTER.
I actualy spoke to the organizer of the HD Australia stand and they have a list of all models that will be on displaying.
CVO's will not be available to customers until the fall of 2012. At least thats when they are due to start turning up on the land.
I was just curious to know if HD Australia had the CVO model range for display as these customs are unique machines.
Sure it will be a good day,.
Enjoy
Convert you didn't miss the show last year as it wasn't on in Sydney.
the wife & i will be there tomorrow
I went to the show yesterday....very good...and you can park for free on the other side of Darling Harbour, just over the footbridge towards the Town Hall...just take a good chain and padlock.....lol
Was there yesterday as well, great show...............................this has to be one of the best production bikes I saw @ the show! If I had a spare $16k, this would make an awesome addition to my garage and a great second bike from my Sporty.
Its a moto guzzi V7 racer, they're a limited addtion with 5000 made. The only disappointing thing about the bike was that the chrome tank isn't alloy, its plastic
Went to the show yesterday and although not as bad as i thought it would be, its still a shit venue. What really pissed me off though was the number of kids crawling all over the bikes and the fucking tourists pushing people out of the way to take photo after photo of bikes. I dont mind queueing behind other bikers to get a good look at a machine, but having photo collectors and people in town for Santa-fest pushing in front really got my back up. By the end i just became an ignorant git and started pushing people out of my way to get to the bikes.
Have to agree on the V7, loved that bike and quite a few others on the Guzzi stand. Im a bit of an old fart so loved all the revised retro bikes on display, even the one on the Kwaka stand. The Iron/48 copy on the Honda stand made me laugh though. Wish i had taken a photo as it really was a cheap arsed copy.
