Fitted quick shifter

After finishing the engine work, heads now ported, high comp ratio, new S&S cams, the bike goes like a rocket ship, windiing up real fast, the speedo needle's moving so fast it looks like a tacho but the issue was the clunky gear change.......

.....so fitted a dynoject quick shifter (which hooks into the power commander V).

Now I can just nail the throttle wide open and do clutchless changes all the way up the box as fast as my boot can kick it! (The actual change is set at 80 millisenconds.)

It makes a massive difference, and really opens up the performance!

    105 TQ & 110 HP

2008 FLSTF, 103 Kit, 53mm TB, PC V with Autotune, S&S 625 cams & springs, Heavy Breather AC, Ported heads & high comp pistons.

Goes like a train, sounds amazing as revs dont drop off, nose doesnt drop at all on upshift as revs stay constant.

Was fitted by Thundertech in Mundaring, great guys, very helpful.

    Looks something like this:

They now fit the PC V not just III. Needed a bit work with wires.

Shift light not included but to be fair we set the rpm threshold to 4,000rpm and I know when I'm tanking it so not really necessary, although you perhaps set it to an optimum rev limit to get the absolute faster change.

Its up there as one of the best mods I've ever added to the ride! Going to try the drags with Deano and the team at some poin in the future.

Mark, the chance of reply is slim as it is a 2011 thread,
If you are in the WA area, I'd suggest giving Thundertech in Mundaring a ring (if they are still in business)

Ive run a Pingel electric shifter for years on my 2007 Dyna no need to plug into any tuner system, runs on it's own circuit. Fully adjustable shift delay, looks good too.
Just took it off recently as I'm done drag racing.
PINGEL is the way to go.

Can you still use the clutch for normal changes around town and the like?
