Are new blinkers incandescant or LED?

    As als1200 says,,,

flasher unit needs resistance to cycle, crook globes or bad connections can cause unit to stay inactive.

"sometimes when engine is running",,sounds like loose connection vibrating.

(if flasher unit was cactus you'de expect both sides to be doing the same)

I thought that with harleys the feed wire goes from battery to indicators then to switch then back through flasher to finally earth meaning you have a possible intermittent short somewhere between the indicators and the switch, causing them to come on. Possibly a nipped wire. I know this was the case with my mates left indicator on his 98 softail.

But please disregard this if i'm wrong., as my missus tells me i'm wrong a lot lately....
