Hi all, I just returned from the states with this great new combination speedo/tach. It was easy to install as I followed the instructions. Now that it is up and running I can't seem to change the colours or settings to suit my stlye. When you follow the instructions on how to access the main menu, all I get is the word DIAG. Would anybody have any thoughts on how to reset this gadget or what to do from here???? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
In a normal speedo setup DIAG is reached by holding the Trip Odometer Reset switch in while turning on the ignition switch. This is called a "WOW" test. Normaly if you swicth the ignition off & on again this should return to normal.
Try this youtube link it shows how to setup the speedo/tacho.

My only thought is you are suppoosed to turn the ignition switch to Accessories not Ign to enter setup mode.
Maybe this is where you have gone wrong?
Hope this is of some help, i am waiting for mine to arrive from Harley Heaven at the moment.

For a quick check of speedometer function, a "WOW" test can be performed. Press and hold trip odometer reset switch, then turn ignition switch to IGN. Release trip odometerBackground lighting should illuminate, speedometer needle should sweep its full range of motion, and indicator lamps (battery, security, low fuel, check engine, sixth gear indicator) should illuminate. • module is non-functional If speedometer module fails "WOW" test, check for battery, ground, ignition, trip odometer reset switch and accessory wiring to speedometer. If any feature in the speedometer
module is non-functional
reset switch.
All lamps should illuminate, even those not used in normal vehicle operations.
Hi there HWG,
Thanks for your reply, however I did try both acc & ign and got the same result. Diag, that's what got me stuck on
Try connecting up your old speedo again and then connect the new speedo/tacho back into the computer port and do the setup again.
May need to this, I had a similar problem with mine.
Thanks Rocky,
Will do and let you know,
Cheers,
Hi there Hwg,
The instructions do say to hold the reset switch in and then turn to ignition and it will take you to the set up. This is not the case I'm affraid.
