I have noticed when hitting a pot hole (not even a big one) that the front end feels like it bottoms out and it makes a loud bang. At first i though something was loose but cant find anything. my 48 has not done 1000 kms yet.

Anyone got some ideas.

Thanks Scouser, i should of looked a bit harder at past posts. I will be doing this for sure. My straight shots should be here during the week so that will keep me busy for an hour or two, just part of the never ending makeover.

you can wrap a cable tie around the fork leg before going for a ride and check it along the way at stops etc as the cable tie will slide down/up the leg of the fork showing how much travel you use

That's the only trouble with the 48, there's not enough travel in the front forks and they bottom out.
