So I'm riding to work this morning thinking "Hey it's running nice and smooth now". I get to within 5 minutes of work and the thing starts idling really high (Like at 25% throttle).

The idle speed has varied a bit now and then buit normally a blip on the throttle fixes, but this time no luck there. Anyone had their bike rev like crazy at idle out of the blue for no apparent reason ?

I've been having a few problems with it running rough and missing lately, I'm wondering if my PCIII is screwed or something.

I'd check your throttle cables. I know when I changed my throttle grip over there is an idle cable and a throttle cable and they can both be adjusted via the lock nuts on the bottom of the throttle. I had to adjust mine a few times to get it returning back to a low idle.
