G'Day Guys and thanks for having me.

My question to ya's is about standard air filters on a 2010 softail vs Kuryakyn Hyper chargers. This may be a silly question but im a noob to the forum scene and Harleys.Im looking at putting one on but want to crunch the performance numbers before doing so.

Give me five minutes and i'll know everything ;)

Thanks for ya reply champion, My question being would i see a noticable difference in a Hyper charger instead of the standard air filter

And would you have any idea how much roughly it would set me back to replace the standard cams that come with it with better ones?

Thanks again in advance for ya help

Ok. Let's not put the cart before the horse. Let me give you some background.

Firstly if you change the standard air filter you are going to be running very lean as you will be adding more air. The same thing if you change out the pipes. So in any case you are going to need to retune the bike - that is - you either need to get a tuner that stays on the bike, or reprogram your ECM with something like a TTS.

Now that is out of the way, yes, there is a big difference between a stock setup and an airkit, pipes and a tune. It is quite noticeable.

Cams are another topic of discussion. Many choices depending on exactly what you want to achieve.

Arrrrrr, the old cart before the horse problem.  Very confusing for the horse.

As I am only climbing out of newb nappies myself I suggest that you search the various threads here and prepare to spend a few late nights reading the wealth of info that you will gather.

    Start reading and enjoy
