Had a couple of spare hours today so got ny V&H Shortshots on my Iron - came with both standard and quiet baffles, so I left the quiet baffles in and I am extremely happy! Great sound but not too over the top, nice rumble and look sensational.

 

Going to keep an eye on the plugs to see how lean it runs, might go with some xieds if necessary as I will most likely leave A/C stock. Anyone have any experience with these?

One thing, when I pulled the o2 sensors from the stock pipes, they were very light grey, looks a bit lean to me but exhaust was still black at the tip - any advice on that?

got 14xieds on mine, got them from a mob in brisbane in two days. I'm running Rush slip ons, and a S/E air filter with no cover, bike runs great while i save for a 1250 kit, and a pcv. I wanted to put the 14xieds on to protect the engine from running too lean, seems to work

cost me about $120, but go for 666's ones, there's no moving parts so unless the resistor bit in the middle is bent, or the plugs are rooted, they'll last forever.

i have been running shortshots , protuner and hi flo filter in my sporty for about 4 years now gueit baffles will work the best in most cases . i use a dobeck tuner . best value for money i reckon . i would not change it for anything

Yeah cricket I love the sound! Probably a bit deeper in note, definitely no crackle. Occasional pop on decal, nothing bad, thinking the x14ieds will get rid of this.
Even with quiet baffles I reckon officer plod could have a go if he wanted, they are still pretty loud! So I'll hang onto the stockies just in case!
