I'm keen to get a start on organising a western ride, i'm thinking october or early november would be best before the heat out there gets unbareable.....thought we could start by stating what dates we cant make it ....and the prefered destination, Miles or Chinchilla.

For me the 15th oct is out unless i can change my plans within the next few days. Have to put Marg on a plane around that time and need to book, can do it on the 17th if i know soon.  I'm fine with any destination or different months/dates. 

I'm trying to work in a few rides etc with my brother who wont have any spare weekends soon.

I'll explain the route options.....some may want to extend the ride out and ride some different roads, some may not, straight out the warrego would be easiest for most but would probly double my trip time wise, another option is meet at caboolture and the shortest route from there is via yarraman, cooyar, dalby....another option is via gympie, murgon, kingaroy etc, which is shortest for me but probly doubles the trip for others, i do realise we may have to work in with Madonna but not sure and can always have 2 groups and meet there or along the road somewhere, so if ya keen on this one speak now with prefered route option, it can be changed at any stage, mainly looking for opinions at this point so dont stress to much lol,    So.... option 1 = warrego out, shortest way home....option 2 = from caboolture through the middle and shortest way home....option 3 = gympie, murgon etc and shortest way home.

STOP PRESS !!!!   Dont book a room just yet, we may end up going to condamine if everyone is agreeable and rooms are available, it's only 30 minutes further but well worth it, its not flash and not crowded but its great, will sus it out while ya's think about it.

Condamine pub has only 3 rooms left, $99 for a double.

Condamine van park across the road have no bookings as yet, cabins sleep up to 4, mostly single beds but there are some doubles, $89 for first 2 ppl, $11 per person after that,  thats about $28 per person per cabin on a share bassis.  They are holding the cabins for us even though i didnt ask them too, told them i was just making an enquiry.

The pub usually have entertainment on a saturday night, it's a fantastic place but without all the bells and whistles of the bigger towns, i highly recommend it,  it wont disappoint.  We would still go via chinchilla, would be a better ride.

So......any objections to Condamine ????
