ahh Pink Floyd, even after all these years still hear things that are new in their songs...can't wait for Waters Wall tour next eyar, amybe Dave will grace us with hsi wonderful playing...
Hi Guys
I have been a fan for 40 odd years - saved my dollars and flew to London to see them play DSOTM tour at Earls Court 19th May 1972 (20 at the time) and then again in October 1994 - the Division Bell Tour - again at Earls Court. Not a big fan of Walters or the Wall - I think it is just a big whinge by Walters put into a sound & light show - but having said that, it's still great eye and ear candy (but would be better with David Gilmour out there and the PF fans all know - too bad Roger doesn't!!).
Playing the DSOTM still gives me goose bumps Sad to have lost Syd and Rick - their music still lives on!!
Hey Hound Dog
Totally agree with you regarding David Gilmour - I consider him the 'essence' or 'soul' of PF - the others just add the necessary tools to bring it together. I don't agree with the fuckwits that quote "Pink Floyd is greater than the sum of all its parts". David Gilmour is Pink Floyd - Syd started it, David grew it and Roger tried to destroy it - it still lives - the man is a creative genius and is still creating wonderful music!
