    All online,

I have an IRON with a screaming eagle exhaust fitted and I am considering fitting a S.E stage 1 air kit??

For those who have already done this.....was it worth spending the bucks and is there noticable difference in performance and power now that the kit has ben fitted when compared to the stock air cleaner unit?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Gday I put the pipes and air filter on it made a noticeable difference not huge but bike ran alot better. I all so fitted a Thunder Max computer to the bike that all so made a difference i have not had the bike on a dyno but the bike feels a lot better.I was advised to change the computer to an aftermarket one as the harley ECM is set to run the bike lean not good for a motor to run lean .

Hey mate, I put on the exposed filter stage 1 kit, But I wish I had gone with the heavy breather.... Ask lots of questions mate before you purchase.

    Cheers

    Hi Rans

Thanks for your advice, I have read up on the heavy breathers tonight and it says it (HB) has a higher air flow than the exposed filter, which i will now price up and probably go with. Looking forward to the results and gauging whether the extra air flow makes a difference to the performance, especialy with the SE pipes. I am oranising a 5 day ride around Tassie in January so no doubt the extra performance will work well.

    Thanks mate

    G'day Johno

putting pipes on is fine, when you change your A/C you will need to change your fuel management.

I have S&S slipons, Screamin Eagle heavy breather and TTS on a 1200C, and it makes a huge difference.

^ +1. You will need to retune or you will be running way too lean. You don't want to do that for too long. :(
