As per my previous thread ive gone ahead and booked my 09 Softail in for a big bore S&S 106 rebuild, but im still chopping and changing my mind with regards to exhausts.
Ive always preferred the look of 2 into 2 exhausts but since im outlaying a decent wad of cash chasing more HP/TQ, ive come round and decided to go with a 2 into 1.
Im having the work done at Adelaide Bike Works and Blair has recomended i go with a SuperTrapp 2 into 1 with an open end cap, but im still feeling the D&D Fatcat.
Ive done plenty of googling on the subject and watched endless youtube clips and have come up with mixed results leaving me more confused as what to choose. Im a firm believer that loud pipes save lives but dont want my next exhaust to be as loud as my current (Hooker Troublemakers) as im getting sick of being on the end of defect notices and cautions for noisy pipes.
Im after a good performing pipe that wont choke horsepower/torque and still has a nice rumbling note when on the boil. Im looking for opinions on what you blokes run, what you think of them and what your thoughts are between the 2?
going through the same shit now mate. Looking at a 2 into 1
I'm looking at the bassani road rage mega power
I'm a fan of the BUB 7 2-1, gave me a nice increase in torque on the Dyno over the 2-2, and has a real nice bass rumble.
The looks grow on you. The BUB Lakester looks OK and cheap enough here:
