RT,
so your saying it's ok for Hoodaman to ride his Harley up oxford st in his pink and yellow tshirt
it's funny, just this morning I had the cause to chastise a bloke who parked his vehicle across a footpath right in front of me while I was walking to meet SWMBO, I asked why he felt he needed to block the footpath right in front of me, his reply was to swear black & blue at me & to say that ,& I quote " all you fucking bikers are just the same, think you own the whole fucking country " unquote. Now I was dressed in jeans & a jumper, no leather, nothing that even indicated that I rode bikes, he just took me for my looks, bald head & beard, blue jeans & black jumper.
I wonder what his reply would have been if I'd been in a suit with no beard & a neat full head of hair.
So it seems nowadays you don't even have to be on a bike to have people stereotype you.
BTW do you think spitting in through his open window was over the top & slightly crass ??
Made me feel better though.
Bike riders are just that, poeple who like to ride motorbikes regardless of the brand. I like BMW's & would have one also if the need was there, but one's enough, it just happens to be a Harley, at least it will be in 2 days time, woo hoo.
Oh & BTW if we own the country, when do my rent checks start to arrive
Toxic, you guys always over react, why didn't you just ask him does he mean we (as bikers) think we all own the whole country as a group ? or whether he meant - we all think we own it individually ? and then just wait for a response, he's probably just a little confused.
it's in my blood.... literally
Bugger...I will try again...G'day commrades.....hey Wozza...you there?
I think that it is all about being feeling free to go when and where ever you want to with the wind in your face, customising your ride to suit your style and feelings. Helping out, having fun and goods time with your mates, sticking up for your riding mates and rights. This is what i think it is all about i think. You dont need long hair or a beard to do that as far as im concerned, Sonny Barger doesnt and i bet no one wouldnt say hes not a biker living the life.
A biker to me is someone who loves getting out on there bike .
Doesn't matter what the brand of bike either.
I cant stand blokes that ride Jap bikes who won't talk to a Harley rider and vise viser , To me its all about the riding and the mates that get out there and enjoy the same
Jill i agree with you, that what it is all about and what i was trying to say as well. Hogman you better look up Sonny Barger on the net to get more info but he is the most famous Hells Angel. He is the No1 (top dog), the founding member who started it all off and is still alive to tell the tails and story's. He has even written a few books that arn't a bad jarn. Im not saying i agree with what he does or did in his lifetime just his thoughts of feeling free with the wind in your face to ride anywhere, helping and standing up for your mates and rights.
What i love about this lifestyle is all the people from here i consider friends without even meeting yet..... I love to have a beer with Purnong I love to have a beer with pong We drink in moderation YEH RIGHT
