    Hey Boyz

Trying to work out the best way  to pack my gear up

on long distance trips ( say a week )

Interested to see what Vrod owners use as there is not much out there

Never had any issues with the Fattie - loaded it up like a Mule and never had an issue

Interested to hear what you use  -  racks, bags, tie downs

    Thanks

the rack and rest on Muscle is next to useless .... i brought a multi fit bag form HD and need 3 occy straps to keep it stable .... lucky i not do alot of touring , then again if i did i would not own a rod ...... BUT wouldn't own anything else either !!!

i am going for a trip to Melb with a few mates in November so i have been thinking the same way... how the hell do i pack stuff on this bike.
my mate used to have a duece, same sort of problem with nowhere to strap anything onto it. she has since sold it so i bought her kuryakyn bag, it straps on under the seat and works fairly well, if i can find a photo i will post it up.
i have also bought the saddle bags for the muscle and i am hoping to make them quickly and easily removable. but i havnt looked into this bit too much, we (me and my dad) are pretty sure we can make it work, w just have to spend a weekend and do some chopping and changing.
we went away overnight camping for the weekend and i found i could easily strap a swag on the back rack with my bag on the back seat, so i pretty much have all the packing sorted.
